Mental Health Yoga (8 weeks, online, yoga course)

R590,00

About the course:

“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease” (WHO).

Mental health can be a part of our life where we don’t simply survive, but thrive! Genetics, life experiences and trauma can significantly affect our mental wellbeing. But there are ways to begin nurturing mental wellbeing and move away from the biomedical model of only simply treating dis-ease. Both are vitally important to our wellbeing.

In this 8 week yoga class course, we will learn about the key elements of mental wellbeing as well as related, proven somatic therapy and yoga therapy techniques, and how we can use our yoga practice to nurture them into being. This will be done via a 1 hour yoga class per week with a clear therapeutic focus and related educational content. This is a course for yoga practitioners of any level, who would like to learn about the foundations of mental health and how their yoga practice can support their wellbeing in this area. It is both an educational and practically personal course. Beginners in yoga are welcome! NB: all my email subscribers receive 5% off their first order, claim yours here: https://candiceclark.co.za/shop/
