Clear and concise

“I most enjoyed the clear and concise nature, i.e. content of topic and how it is presented. I also enjoyed the interactive nature (as most of your offerings).”

– Deidri Jones (ASCHP Specialist Wellness Counselor, SCTC 24 graduate)

Invaluable knowledge base

The training is presented in a very accessible way and if you engage in all of the material in a deep way you will leave the program with an invaluable perspective and knowledge base.

– Justine Strong (Mindfulness Practitioner, TSYFT 24 graduate)

Enhancement of my wellness practice

While participating in the training I felt so much relief just to be myself! This for me was an awesome feeling of freedom! I’m planning to implement this training in my current wellness practice, which will enhance my practice.

– Abigail Layman (ASCHP Wellness Counselor, TSYFT 25 graduate)

Excellent combination of practices

Honestly, I wouldn’t want to change anything. The training felt complete, thoughtful, and well-structured. It offered a meaningful balance of theory, practical tools, and self-reflection.”

Our guiding principles:

Relational

We honor the human-to-human connection in every supervisory relationship. When we bring our whole selves to supervision, we allow our supervisee to do the same.

Developmental models

Supervision should adapt to where the supervisee is in their journey, offering appropriate levels of challenge and support. This is supported by experience, scope of practice awareness and compassionate empathy.

Reflective practice

It is important for supervisors to cultivate self-awareness, cultural humility and a commitment to lifelong learning. Understanding how we contribute to the experience of the supervisees and indirectly their clients is an important part of being an effective supervisor.

Trauma-informed

We acknowledge the nervous systems in the room – both supervisee and supervisor, ensuring that we are working from a place of safety, regulation and curiosity.
