Cands is a licensed counsellor and yoga therapist that specialises in trauma and mental health. She has worked with numerous individuals and on group therapy programs in South Africa and internationally, supporting the recovery from psychological trauma. She has developed and hosted a number of well-known, popular courses, training programs and workshops for mental health professionals, and trauma survivors. We are now for the first time, offering a tailored, supportive and community-minded, mentorship group to support you in bringing this exciting path to life! This will be lead directly by Cands. There are 2 levels for you to choose from. Both are conducted online, and can be attended from anywhere you choose. Level 1 is our 3 week program (our next cohort is 19 September – 3 October ’23). Level 2 is our 8 week program (our next cohort is 19 September – 7 November ’23).

Level 1 is for you if:
- You are curious about course creation for counselors and are just starting out.
- You have limited course creation knowledge and would like to deepen this.
- You have some idea of the course you’d like to create, and preferably online, but require more support in refining this and completing market research.
- You’d like an introductory understanding in marketing your course when ready.
- You would like to try level 1 before you invest in the more in-depth mentorship program.
- You would like to receive training that is based on first hand experience from an experienced, succesful mental health course creator.

Level 2 is for you if:

I have condensed all my most important insights for you in this online mentorship group, so that you make the best use of your time available and avoid all the mistakes and pitfalls I experienced.

The world of marketing, particularly digital marketing, can be overwhelming, confusing and it changes rapidly! What worked 1 year ago, can be very different to what is working today. As a current mental health course creator, I am engaged in this work every day. I have a very good grip on what is working at the moment and what isn’t for the marketing and sales of mental health courses. Good news: you don’t need to try everything! There are very specific strategies and activities that have been proven over and over again, currently, to be the most succesful in the marketing and sales of mental health courses.
PRACTICAL
This is not a theoretical training program. This is hands-on practical support, so that you can experience effective course creation first-hand while being guided by me. There are books, training programs and similar that will teach you theory, I am more interested in you seeing success while on the program. It is for this reason that this is very specifically, a mentorship group.
ACCESSIBLE
We appreciate the difficulty some counselors may face in travelling to a mentorship group, both in terms of cost and personal care responsibilities. For this reason, the mentorship group is conducted entirely online. We furthermore understand that one-on-one supervision or coaching on this topic can be financially inaccessible, and therefore we have designed this program to be a group mentorship group at a significantly reduced cost, compared to one-on-one support. We have ensured the integrity of the expertise presented on the program while also ensuring it is as financially accessible to those that would like to attend.

- 3 – 5 hours personal work per week (based upon weekly mentorship group discussions and insights).
- Community what’s app group to utilise for ongoing support, and collaboration.

What if I am going to be late for a theory session?
No problem! However, please bear in mind that while these will be recorded, this is your opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity on the topics and practical steps you are taking, so you would not be able to get as much value from the group if you’re unable to attend live for the full session time. Who is this registered through?
This is our own, indepedent mentorship group. It is not registered through any external body.
The times don’t work for me - are there alternative sessions?
As I’ve received interest from multiple time zones, the times listed above are the best ones to accommodate all who are interested at this stage.
Do you offer refunds?
- We will issue you with a 75% refund (via EFT) should you cancel or notify us that you will not be able to attend the mentorship program at least 60 days prior to the program start date.
- We will issue you with a 50% credit note to use for any of our products and services (valid for 12 months), should you cancel or notify us that you will not be able to attend this mentorship program within 30 – 60 days of the start date.
- No refund or credit note is provided if you cancel within 30 days of the mentorship program start date or exit the program or do not finish the program within the allocated dates.
Will I have access to you & questions during the program?
Absolutely. This is exactly what our live mentorship groups are for, additional supervision sessions are charged at R500 per session (1 hour), and is based in my availability at the time.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. 50% (non-refundable) secures your place, remaining 50% is due within 30 days ot the mentorship group start date. Please mail me here for information on this. NB: this does not apply to discounted prices.
Can I share this with friends, family, clients & others?
Yes you are welcome to! It is open to anyone who feels this could be beneficial to them.
