Welcome to the body mapping trauma course!

This is a free, 3 hour, online course designed to provide an introduction to trauma, where it may show up in the body and foundational trauma-sensitive yoga tools for tension release. It will take place online via the Zoom app. Further program info and Zoom links will be provided on email.

We will learn about the key elements of trauma, trauma recovery theory, where trauma appears to commonly show up in the physical bodies of trauma survivors and the trauma-sensitive yoga tools that can support release. This is a course for trauma survivors and yoga students of any level, who would like to deepen their knowledge in this area. Beginners in yoga are welcome! It is both an educational and practically personal course.

Schedule:

  • Session 1 (theory): Thursday (7 July), 6pm – 7:30pm SAST.
  • Session 2 (practical): Thursday (14 July), 6pm – 7:30pm SAST.

Live attendance is free, recordings access can be purchased here (8 weeks access – ZAR 490 before we begin on 7 July, ZAR 690 thereafter). Bookings close on Tuesday, 5 July ’22.
